Yogesh Yoga: About me

Many people ask me, "What is Yogesh Yoga, is Yogesh your real name?" My answer is, "Yes, Yogesh is my real name from birth and yoga is yoga."

Ashtanga Yoga Classes in Aschaffenburg & Miltenberg

Currently I teach Ashtanga Yoga in Aschaffenburg, Miltenberg, Mömbris and the surrounding area, work as a physiotherapist and lead various yoga workshops. More about my current course program.

I discovered yoga at 11 years old ...

... when my parents sent me to a yoga camp. There I realized how helpful it can be especially for my body.Since one leg is 2.5 cm shorter, I had to struggle with some physical discomfort. After many failed doctor visits and treatments, yoga became like a medicine for me.

At that time, I practiced yoga as a school subject with a very strict teacher. As a hyperactive child, I felt little joy with these slow exercises and saw it more as a form of therapy. Later, after finishing school and with increasing work stress, I found a new approach to yoga. This time, yoga has made me much stronger not only physically but also mentally and spiritually. I came in contact with myself more, was happier, more balanced and it gave me that certain balance in life.

KPJAYI Authorisierung Level 2

I have been practicing Hatha Yoga all my life, from 2009 summer to 2011 I practiced Ashtanga Yoga alone and since 2011 I am practicing Ashtanga Yoga K. Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute (KPJAYI) , Mysore, India with my master (guru) R. Sharath Jois. In January 2017 I got my authorization Level 2.

My yoga knowledge is not only based on my own practice and experience, in year 2008 I also completed the Advance Yoga Teacher Training im Sivananda Vedanta Ashram in Kerala entitled "Yoga Archarya and Shiromani" and then worked as an assistance teacher more than a Year in Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre, New Delhi.

Traditional Ashtanga lessons in Aschaffenburg area & Miltenberg

Through the practice of yoga, I wish to see a peaceful and healthy world. Nowadays, it has become so fast-paced, hectic, and stressed that people can rarely focus on the good and positive aspects of life that lie ahead of them.Through the traditional and original teaching style I would like to bring more light and understanding back to life.
